A post about advice for when you get mad: stop and think.

Someone told me to think before you get mad. You laugh because it's silly. It's difficult. Why? Because getting mad has every ounce to do with emotion, not logical thinking. This is true and proven that our brains operate in two separate parts: the emotional feeler and the logical thinker.

So why do this? To choose to think before getting upset will actually give you peace. If you think that getting upset isn't worth it, you'll be fine as a result. Because it really isn't worth it at all. Getting mad will NOT do anything to make the situation better, only worse. So stop and think.

A great lesson I learned.
